GENERAL OVERVIEW
Tom’s construction career has spanned 44 years, starting as a laborer, learning craft skills and ultimately starting and owning his construction company. He has been in construction management for 34 years. He has work in commercial, industrial and institutional construction on projects including military barracks, university housing, industrial plants, nursing homes, churches and commercial redevelopment. His residential experience includes projects ranging from single family entry level homes to as large as 12,000 square foot highly customized homes. Included in his residential experience are large apartment complexes, condominium projects, town homes, and remodeling projects. Construction types include conventional framing, steel, timber framed, panelized and concrete structures. He has in depth experience in contracts, specifications, estimating, cost analysis, construction management, office management and employment.
Tom is also experienced in the insurance industry and has served 15 years on the Board of Trustees for a Workers Compensation Insurance company, specializing in construction work.
